As laser eye surgery is a very popular treatment for people with short or long sight, most people have now heard of LASIK and LASEK. These two are the main types of treatment whereby the eye is exposed and then penetrated to either build the lens or the cornea, giving it new shape in order to focus and reflect light. However some people are not as aware of the procedures such as keratoconus treatment, intacs or intraocular lenses. Intraocular lenses are a particular popular solution for those who are not suitable for LASIK OR LASEK. Cataract surgery is also another type of eye surgery that generally affects over 40s and can be treated with eye surgery.
